The Apex Optics Vapor 1–4×22 is a next-generation variable prism sight built for shooters who demand true versatility from their carbine optic. Vapor blends the rapid target acquisition and etched-reticle clarity of a prism system with the adaptability of a 1–4X magnification range, giving you fast, both-eyes-open performance at 1X and confident, positively-identified precision at distance when magnified.
Unlike traditional LPVOs, Vapor remains compact, lightweight, and brilliantly simple. The etched reticle is always visible, whether illuminated or not, ensuring dependable sighting under any condition. And because every rifle setup is different, Vapor was engineered with modularity in mind.
You can mount an RMR-pattern red dot directly on top of the optic or at a 45-degree angle using optional adapter plates, creating an ultra-fast dual-optic system. Vapor is also available with an optional QD mount and in three different mounting heights, allowing you to tailor eye alignment and ergonomics to your rifle and shooting style.
Rugged, daylight-bright, and purpose-built for real-world use, the Vapor 1–4×22 delivers unmatched flexibility without compromise, from CQB speed to magnified precision, all in one refined optic.

Mount an RMR-pattern red dot at a left or right-side 45-degree offset for rapid, heads-up target transitions without breaking your shooting position.

The optional QD mount allows fast, tool-free removal or re-installation of the Vapor optic while maintaining repeatable zero and true return-to-aim performance.

The FIRE™ reticle is engineered for shooters who demand speed without sacrificing precision. The bold illuminated outer arc instantly draws your eye to center for both-eyes-open CQB shooting, allowing you to acquire and engage targets without hesitation.Â
A fine 1.5 MOA center dot provides a crisp, precise aiming point, while the clean MOA-based holdover system delivers predictable, repeatable reference marks as you stretch out to distance.
And because the FIRE™ reticle is etched into the prism, it’s always visible, with or without illumination, ensuring total reliability in any lighting environment.
Simple. Fast. Confident. That’s FIRE™.

BDC values are approximations and will vary based on barrel length, muzzle velocity, ammunition type and lot, sight height, zero distance, atmospheric conditions (temperature, altitude, pressure, humidity), and shooter input. Always confirm your trajectory and holds at the distances you intend to shoot.
This reticle is Second Focal Plane (SFP). Subtensions and BDC references are calibrated at 4× magnification only. Using the BDC holds at other magnifications will result in incorrect hold values.

Good for a gen 1. After having this optic for a couple weeks and trying it on two different rifles, this is my honest opinion on the Apex Vapor. First the positives. It's actually got pretty good glass and the eye box/eye relief is much better than any magnifier I've ever used. It's on par with most LPVOs and better than some budget options. It's pretty smooth and easy to use. The reticle is a decent size and BDC seems to be pretty well on. I've not tried it past 200yds but it worked for me. With a few small improvements I believe this could replace any dot/magnifier combo. Now what needs improvement. The 1x isn't quite a true 1x. More like 1.1x. Still very usable up close but you may notice it. Illumination isn't super bright, at least on my unit. It needs off-stops in between the illumination settings. It's 2026 there is no reason to not have off stops. The nob does rotate 360° though so just roll it forward to the brightness settings first anyway because they are the only usable ones. Speaking of 2026 features it needs some form of motion activation. There is no reason an optic like this shouldn't have motion activation. Lastly it IS NOT mini ACOG mount compatible. I tried an ADM mount and factory Trijicon and neither fit. The factory mount is OK but kind of chincy. Just locktite everything and it seems to work. I honestly think for a gen 1 this thing is 80-85% there. And with just a few improvements it really could replace the dot/magnifier combo for good. Mostly make it a bit brighter and Mini ACOG compatible and it's a serious winner.
So far in my experience with the scope I love.I’m currently running it on my AR-10 and it’s been great. Went ahead and mounted a holosun 507c up top and both have shined at the range. But my main grieveance was just the way my order was processed and handled. I ordered it and paid for both expedited shipping and for the QD mount but received no confirmation or shipping notification for over a week. I eventually contacted them and was finally given my shipment info. But even then my scope still came with no QD mount.
Hi Andrew, we are so sorry that you had this fulfilment experience. We recently switched warehouses during your order period, and we didn't fulfil it according to our own standards. We sincerely apologize, and please let us know if anything else needs to be remedied.
I’ll be honest, I took a bit of a gamble on the Vapor. I wasn’t sure what a variable zoom prism would actually feel like in the real world. But after running it, I was blown away. The glass is incredibly clear, 1x is fast and natural, and having 4x on tap in such a compact optic is a game changer. It completely exceeded my expectations.
