MATCH INFORMATION
Apex Optics is proud to Present the Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge PRS 2-Day Pro Series Match, to be hosted on the outskirts of the beautiful Calgary, Alberta range of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The match will take place on the last weekend of the world famous Calgary Stampede, dubbed the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. It will give everyone an opportunity to come and experience the 10 day party that famously shuts down the entire city of Calgary, as well as an opportunity to visit the majestic Banff, Lake Louise, and Kananaskis Country which are a short 1-2 hour drive from Calgary.
This will be a premier match for anyone looking to challenge themselves in a tough but competitive course of fire, with the natural backdrop of the Rockies and the Alberta foothills, and all of the windy conditions that come along with it.
The match fee is $300 CAD.

We have reserved blocks of hotel rooms in three separate hotels close to the match and event. You will receive this information shortly after registration, and it will be posted here soon.
We will also be posting a comprehensive VISITORS GUIDE for competitors and their families. The Calgary and Banff area are full of things to do for families and kids of all ages!

FIREARM IMPORTATION INTO CANADA
Firearm importation into Canada is simple. Download the PDF in the link here, and fill out the form in triplicate. DO NOT SIGN THE FORM until you reach Canadian customs and do it with them there. Cost for importation is a small fee of $25 CAD.

Match MD will be available to help anyone needing assistance once they are registered for the event.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BRING HANDGUNS OR SUPRESSORS ACROSS THE BORDER AS THESE ARE EITHER RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED IN CANADA. MUZZLE BRAKES ARE ALLOWED
SOCIAL EVENTS
FRIDAY SOCIAL
On the registration / check-in day there will be a “Beer Garden” event that will be available to all shooters/guests over the age of 18 (Legal Drinking Age in Alberta) AFTER they’re done operating firearms for the day. There will be no zeroing, practicing or handling of firearms after the participant has consumed alcohol.
SATURDAY EVENING SOCIAL EVENT AND DINNER
The Match Fee includes entry and dinner for the Saturday Evening Social Event & Dinner for the shooter. This will be a fully catered event with a professional band and cash bar.
Additional guest tickets for the Social Event & Dinner will be available for purchase at $50 CAD each on the website soon. Email to follow!
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All match payments are non-refundable and under no circumstances can be transferred to a future match. Shooters should not register unless they intend to shoot the match. If a shooter desires to sell their slot, they must contact Apex Optics with a replacement name and contact info prior to June 15th, 2024. Any exchanges past this date will not be permitted.
Squadding will be done on Practiscore. Shooters will be approved to squad 3 weeks prior to the match. A reminder email will be sent prior to squadding being opened. Shooters must enter their class, division and/or categories during squad sign up. If you do not enter any information it will default to Open division and no class or category. PRS member classifications can be found on your profile.
If you are not a PRS member, do not select a class.
MATCH LOCATION
Located in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, the location will be advertised as soon as possible.
It will be on the west side of Calgary, within short driving distance from the west end of the city, and the hotels that have been secured.
