Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge Training, Train-Up Day & Guest Add-Ons

Join us at the 2026 Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge for optional training, coaching, Train-Up Day access, and guest dining add-ons designed to make the match weekend even better.

These add-ons are available for competitors and guests attending the match. Training sessions are led by some of Canada’s top precision rifle shooters, with focused instruction for different experience levels. We are also offering a dedicated Train-Up Day with at least 6 practice stages and dedicated steel, giving shooters the opportunity to practice, confirm gear, refine positions, and shake off any rust before match weekend.

Guest dining packages are also available for spouses, partners, family members, and guests who will be onsite and would like to be included in the catered lunch and banquet dinner.

Match Guest Dining Package, Lunch + Banquet

This package is for guests, spouses, partners, family members, or support crew attending the Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge who would like to be included in the catered meals.

The package includes lunch during the match day and banquet dinner admission.

Please add this package for each non-competitor guest who will require meals. We use these selections to confirm catering numbers several weeks in advance, so advance purchase is required to ensure we can properly plan food and seating for the event.

Important Train-Up Day Instructions

If you only want access to Train-Up Day, purchase the Train-Up Day Pass.

If you are purchasing one or more training sessions, Train-Up Day access is already included as part of your training session fee. You do not need to purchase a separate Train-Up Day Pass if you are buying a training session.

If you want both Train-Up Day and training, simply purchase one or more of the training sessions you are interested in.

Train-Up Day Pass

The Train-Up Day Pass gives competitors access to a dedicated practice day before the match.

Shooters will have the opportunity to practice on at least 6 stages with dedicated steel set aside specifically for Train-Up Day. This is a great opportunity to confirm your rifle, test positions, work through match-style problems, refine your process, and get comfortable before the main match begins.

Train-Up Day is ideal for competitors who want additional range time without registering for a formal training session.

Northstar Precision Training with Josh Botha

Northstar Precision Training is led by Josh Botha, a Team Canada shooter in both rimfire and centerfire precision rifle disciplines, and a member of the MDT team.

Josh brings a deep technical understanding of rifle setup, stage execution, positional shooting, match preparation, and practical field problem-solving. These sessions are designed to give shooters direct access to high-level coaching from one of Canada’s top competitors.

Three Northstar sessions are available based on shooter experience level:

Northstar Training, Novice Session, 9:00am to 11:00am (Maximum 4 Spots)

Ideal for newer PRS, rimfire, or precision rifle competitors who want to build stronger fundamentals.

This session will focus on equipment setup, positional stability, target acquisition, and practical techniques to help shooters feel more confident on the clock.

Train-Up Day access is included with this training session.

Northstar Training, Intermediate Session, 11:00am to 1:00pm

(Maximum 4 Spots)

Designed for shooters who already have some match experience and want to improve consistency.

This session will focus on refining stage plans, improving transitions, building more stable positions, managing time, and reducing avoidable points lost during a stage.

Train-Up Day access is included with this training session.

Northstar Training, Advanced Session, 1:00pm to 3:00pm

(Maximum 4 Spots)

Built for experienced competitors looking to sharpen match execution at a higher level.

This session will focus on advanced stage strategy, efficiency, wind calls, mental management, positional refinement, and techniques used by top national and international competitors.

Train-Up Day access is included with this training session.

AOP Training Session with Nowell Greaseley

The AOP Training Session is led by Nowell Greaseley of Art of Precision, a Team Canada shooter, Team MPA / Leupold shooter, and one of the top Canadian PRS competitors over the last several years.

Nowell has consistently performed at the highest level in PRS competitions and brings a proven, match-tested approach to training. This session is ideal for shooters who want to learn directly from one of Canada’s strongest competitors and gain insight into how elite shooters approach stages, manage pressure, and build consistency across an entire match.

AOP Training Session, 2:00pm to 3:00pm

This focused session will cover practical match execution, stage management, positional efficiency, and the decision-making process used by top-level PRS shooters.
