BINOCULARS, REDEFINED

When we set out to make a line of binoculars, we knew we didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing. In fact, we decided to make a product that other companies seemingly refuse to make.

We started our line with a perfect set of 10×42 and 12×50 Japanese ED glass binoculars that are guaranteed to outperform every other binocular at its price point. The clarity of picture, the edge-to-edge crispness without chromatic abberation, and the ultralight design combine to make an unbelievable set of binoculars.

Oh and one more thing, every pair of Summit ED binoculars includes our four-point Outfitter Pro chest harness for carrying your new binos around in your everyday adventures. We wanted to make sure that it was useful and well-made, so we made it out of 6000D ballistic nylon on the outside, and soft-touch synthetic suede on the inside to keep your binoculars safe and quiet. A strong permanent magnet latch is also whisper quiet, yet strong, and the outer flap features a couple of well placed spots for your elk or turkey diaphragm calls. On the bottom we included a laser-cut MOLLE style attachment point for any and all accessories that you might want to add, like a bear spray holster, or something with a bit more juice if you prefer.

As always, uncompromising quality components make the difference. When you buy Apex, Precision Comes Standard®

So full disclosure, I WANT to love these but I don’t fit the 12×50 Summit Pro as the IPD is wider than I need to correctly use them. The narrow end of the IPD is supposed to be 58.5mm but I measure mine and found them to be a few mm+ (with the objective cover retainers clear of the barrels). For optical comparison I’ve got glass from March, Hensoldt, Leica, Steiner, NF, Vortex,SIG, Trijicon, Burris, Aimpoint and Athlon,
For me the IPD reveals how relatively unforgiving the eye relief is. Optically I find that they are not very bright for Japanese ED glass and otherwise they’re pretty much meh. I confirmed the reticle accuracy is good and if there is any error it’s contained within the line(s). I find the focus, reticle alignment, diopter adjustment resistance are acceptable. However, the eyecups are too easy and IPD too stiff, YMMV. The included accessories are acceptable and nice to have included but would be nice to have the tripod adapter included considering the primary intended use (BTW, confirmed the threading is industry standard).
In discussion with Apex CS who claim the 15×56 Pro’s have a tighter IPD but they are significantly more Chico-Bucks and for that kind of money I think we should get an illuminated reticle. Would that be an industry first for bino’s Guys?
