2026 PRS PRO Series Match

2026 MATCH INFORMATION
The Apex Rocky Mountain Challengereturns for 2026 – and it’s set to be our biggest year yet.
After drawing top-tier competitors from across the globe in 2025, the Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge has firmly established itself as one of Canada’s premier precision rifle events. For 2026, we’re raising the bar once again.
Hosted in the breathtaking foothills of the Canadian Rockies just outside of Calgary, this PRS 2-Day Pro Series match will challenge shooters with dynamic terrain, shifting conditions, and a thoughtfully designed course of fire that rewards both precision and adaptability. Whether you’re chasing points or pushing personal limits, this match is built to test and elevate every competitor.
Back for its second year, our Friday Train-Up Day continues to grow as a standout feature of match weekend. Featuring respected professionals from across the industry, this hands-on training opportunity is designed to help refine your skills before stepping onto the clock.
Whether you’re new to precision rifle competition or a seasoned veteran looking to sharpen your edge, the Train-Up Day offers practical instruction, valuable insights, and meaningful time behind the rifle – all in the same challenging environment you’ll compete in over the weekend.
Keeping true to our Alberta roots, our much-loved BBQ Awards Banquet returns on Sunday afternoon. More than just a podium ceremony, it’s a celebration of the community that makes this match special. Competitors are welcome to bring loved ones for a small addition to the match fee – a chance to connect, unwind, and close out the weekend together.
The match once again takes place during the final weekend of the world-famous Calgary Stampede – the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” While in Calgary, competitors can also explore iconic destinations like Banff, Lake Louise, and Kananaskis Country — all within a short drive.
Room blocks for competitors and their families, as well as campground and RV options, will be available. Exact match location details will be shared with registered shooters closer to the event date.
Match Dates: July 11-12, 2026

MATCH LOCATION
The 2026 match location is a short shift from last year’s event, staying within the same general area while introducing new terrain features. Competitors can expect the same trusted natural backstops and target distances, now enhanced by subtle changes that add a fresh challenge to the course of fire.
Set amidst the scenic foothills, the venue offers sweeping views, rolling terrain, and an immersive shooting experience. Natural contours and extended sightlines will once again define the match, providing both challenge and beauty across the course.
