OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Vanja Krtolica, President and C.E.O
Vanja is a seasoned hunter and competitive shooter, excelling in disciplines such as Steel Challenge, IPSC/USPSA, 3-Gun, NRL Hunter, and Precision Rifle Series. Before co-founding Apex Optics, Vanja lent his expertise as a Program Manager, specializing in Cyber Security and Large Infrastructure projects across Canada and the U.S. His blend of corporate experience, passion for the outdoors, and love for hunting in Western Canada provided Apex Optics with a unique advantage when developing its first products.
Today, while Vanja continues to compete in shooting sports whenever possible, his primary focus is on optical design and new product development. His vast experience in hunting and shooting sports drives the innovation behind Apex Optics’ cutting-edge products.

Carlee Krtolica, Vice-President and C.O.O
Carlee Krtolica is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Apex Optics, where she oversees operations, team management, marketing strategy, and major event coordination for one of the world’s fastest-growing premium optics companies. Her leadership has been central to shaping Apex’s brand, community presence, and competitive initiatives.
Beyond her role at Apex, Carlee is deeply involved in advancing precision rifle sports in Canada and internationally. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Precision Rifle Association (CAPRA) and plays a key role in athlete development and national-level program oversight. Carlee is also the Regional Director for the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) Foothills Region, supporting match directors and promoting competitive growth across Western Canada.
On the world stage, Carlee was appointed to the IPRF Executive Council as the Chair of the Athlete Commission, where she ensures that all member nations operate effectively and field the strongest possible teams for international championships.
A dedicated competitor herself, Carlee brings firsthand competitive experience to every aspect of her work, helping guide Apex Optics and the broader shooting community with insight, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

Madeline Daniels, Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships
As the Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Apex Optics, Madeline Daniels blends creative strategy with a passion for building meaningful industry relationships. She joined Apex Optics in 2022, bringing with her a strong background in event and hospitality management as well as social media marketing, experience that now fuels the brand’s dynamic presence and growing community.
Madeline was first introduced to the world of shooting sports through her work at Apex and quickly immersed herself in the competitive landscape. She thrives on collaborating with like-minded brands, supporting the Apex competitive shooting team, and elevating flagship product launches and events such as the Apex Rocky Mountain Challenge.
Driven, collaborative, and deeply invested in brand storytelling, Madeline is dedicated to helping Apex Optics continue to innovate, connect, and lead within the shooting sports industry.
